Record #212443:

Power loss in dipping internal reflectors, imaged using ice-penetrating radar / Nicholas Holschuh, Knut Christianson, Sridhar Anandakrishnan.

Title: Power loss in dipping internal reflectors, imaged using ice-penetrating radar / Nicholas Holschuh, Knut Christianson, Sridhar Anandakrishnan.
Author(s): Holschuh, Nicholas.
Christianson, Knut.
Anandakrishnan, Sridhar.
Date: 2014.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (2014.), Vol. 55(67) (2014)
Abstract: Proposes and assesses several mechanisms for observed energy loss in ice-penetrating radar assessments of deformed internal ice-sheet layers, and determines whether losses can be eliminated through optimising survey design and processing. Discusses how to treat irrecoverable power loss in glaciological analysis. Applies results to North East Greenland Ice Stream (NEGIS) and Thwaites Glacier, Antarctica.
