Abstract: Assesses accuracy of two newly released digital elevation models, Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) v4 and Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM) v2, over Altiplano watershed in Bolivia, Peru and Chile using Ice, Cloud and Land Elevation Satellite/Geoscience Laser Altimeter System (ICESat/GLAS) data. Compares performance for global and small scale observations. Constructs merged digital elevation model for region.
