Abstract: Investigates composition and origin of surface particles in Chukchi Sea and evaluates contribution of sea ice to these particles. Analyses particle concentration, observes composition, and traces organic matter origin based on its elemental (total organic carbon and total nitrogen) and stable isotope (δ¹³C and δ¹⁵N) composition. Finds that surface water particle concentration is higher on shelf and sea ice margin. Organic matter is mostly marine with some terrigenous input in shelf area and mostly terrigenous on slope and in central Arctic Ocean.
