Record #211430:

Low-temperature flex durability of fabrics for polar sleds / James H. Lever, Jason C. Weale, Glenn Durell.

Title: Low-temperature flex durability of fabrics for polar sleds / James H. Lever, Jason C. Weale, Glenn Durell.
Author(s): Lever, James H.
Weale, Jason C.
Durell, Glenn.
Date: 2014.
In: ERDC/CRREL Technical Report. (2014.), TR-14-24 (2014)
Abstract: Describes low-temperature flex-durability tests of existing and candidate bladder materials for fuel-bladder sleds used for Antarctic resupply traverses, to understand fold-cracking problems and seek more durable materials. Recommends transporting and storing bladders in inflated state. Also identifies durable materials for use in air-ride cargo sleds.
