Abstract: Investigates intensity of western sub-Arctic front (WSAF) using special high-spatial-resolution, satellite-derived sea surface temperature data. Examines causes of its variation in terms of ocean structures, using hydrographic observations. Focuses on winter months, when WSAF intensity is particularly strong.
