Abstract: Examines global variability of internal wave field near depth of 1000 m using data from 194 Argo floats which include Southern Hemisphere coverage poleward of 30°. These show intensification of internal wave variance in path of Antarctic Circumpolar Current east of Drake Passage, and seamount-trapped waves at Amundsen Ridge.
