Abstract: | Presents complex studies of quaternary sediments of Ostrov Sibiryakov in South-West Kara Sea in Western Siberia, based on research in 2008-09. Dating results obtained by both radiocarbon dating, EPR spectroscopy, optically-stimulated luminescence (OSL) and accelerator method carbon dating (AMS). Concludes that sea-level rise in Late Holocene caused formation of Sibiryakov Island. |
