Record #210825:

Glacial crushing of limestone and the production of carbonate-rich silts in a Pleistocene glaciofluvial system: a potential source of loess in southern Europe / Kathryn R. Adamson.

Title: Glacial crushing of limestone and the production of carbonate-rich silts in a Pleistocene glaciofluvial system: a potential source of loess in southern Europe / Kathryn R. Adamson.
Author(s): Adamson, Kathryn R.
Date: 2014.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (2014.), Vol. 96(3) (2014)
Abstract: Explores modification of limestone bedrock and fine-grained sediment within Pleistocene glacial and proglacial environments of Orjen massif, western Montenegro. Argues that fine-grained sediment exported from glaciated limestone catchments during cold stages of Pleistocene formed important source of carbonate-rich loess in this region.
