Author(s): Eicken, Hajo.
Krupnik, Igor.
Date: 2012.
Publisher: Washington, DC: Arctic Studies Center
In: Kingikmi sigum qanuq ilitaavut : Wales Inupiaq sea ice dictionary. (2012.),
Abstract: Compares perspectives on sea ice of scientists and users, and discusses importance of knowledge of experts from Kingikmiut and other communities across Bering region to studies of Arctic change. Discusses how today's Kingikmiut experts add value to historical records, and how communities are adapting to challenges presented by changing conditions.
