Abstract: Uses canonical correlation analysis with National Centers for Environmental Protection Climate Forecast System Reanalysis data from 1980-2009 to study predictability of sea ice concentration in Barents sea in early winter. Relates predictive factors to ocean thermal condition and wave-like atmospheric pattern in North Atlantic.
