Abstract: Uses Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor data to study spatio-temporal patterns of snow cover in northwest Himalaya and selected river basins, and compares these with topographic and climatic conditions. Prepares monthly snow cover inventory and examines seasonal relationship between terrain parameters and snow cover area.
