| Abstract: | Investigates 12 sub-Arctic downy birch trees, Betula pubescens Ehrh, scarred by snow avalanches in Norway and Iceland. Uses measurements of earlywood vessel lumina in xylem tissue bordering scars to show anomalies induced by cambial injury resulting from snow avalanches. |
