Record #209918:

Characteristics of heavy metals in the surface sediments of the western Arctic Ocean / Kunshan Wang, and 3 others.

Title: Characteristics of heavy metals in the surface sediments of the western Arctic Ocean / Kunshan Wang, and 3 others.
Author(s): Wang, Kunshan.
Date: 2014.
Language: Chinese.
In: Chinese Journal of Polar Research. (2014.), Vol. 26(1) (2014)
Abstract: Identifies composition, assemblage and distribution characteristics of heavy minerals in 47 surface sediment samples from Chukchi Sea and adjacent Arctic Ocean. Sediments were collected during first and second Chinese National Arctic Research expeditions (1999 and 2000). Heavy minerals in surface sediments are mainly epidote, hypersthene and hornblende. Mineral assemblages and distribution indicate that mineral sources and hydrodynamic conditions in study area are complicated.
