Record #209892:

Case study on microphysical properties of boundary layer mixed-phase cloud observed at Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard: observed cloud microphysics and calculated optical properties on 9 June 2011 / Akihiro Uchiyama, and 3 others.

Title: Case study on microphysical properties of boundary layer mixed-phase cloud observed at Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard: observed cloud microphysics and calculated optical properties on 9 June 2011 / Akihiro Uchiyama, and 3 others.
Author(s): Uchiyama, Akihiro.
Date: 2014.
In: Polar Science. (2014.), Vol. 8(2) (2014)
Abstract: Describes results of ground-based in situ measurements of clouds formed in vicinity of Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard in May and June 2011. Investigates microphysical property of clouds, and calculates and explores optical properties. Finds that optical properties were determined mainly by those of liquid water particles, even during periods when relative contribution of ice particulates to total water content was at its maximum.
