Abstract: Describes modelling study of Thwaites Glacier, Antarctica, to examine dynamics at grounding line. Authors conducted experiments using various datasets (geometry, ice velocity, basal shear stress, ice temperature, sub-ice-shelf melt rate, accumulation rate) incorporated into ice-stream/ice-shelf shallow-shelf approximation model to examine sensitivity of grounding line on centennial timescales.
