Abstract: | Discusses relationship between European Union (EU) and Russia: strategic partnership and also extensive cooperation within framework of various northern regional institutions. Notes, however, that relatively low-key mutual relations in Arctic have so far constituted exception to this pattern. Examines institutional environment of interaction between Russia and EU, and considers in particular how informal institutions (principles, norms and rules) condition and shape fundamental structure of that interaction. |
