Abstract: Reviews present understanding of Late Mesoproterozoic/Early Neoproterozoic and Late Neoproterozoic/Cambrian tectonothermal events in light of available petrological and geochronological data from Prince Charles Mountains-Prydz Bay region, and discusses significance of these two events in context of supercontinent evolution, with particular reference to nature and role of Late Mesoproterozoic to Cambrian tectonothermal events in region.
