Record #209570:

An assessment of MOSJ: the state of the marine environment around Svalbard and Jan Mayen / Per Fauchald, and 6 others.

Title: An assessment of MOSJ: the state of the marine environment around Svalbard and Jan Mayen / Per Fauchald, and 6 others.
Author(s): Fauchald, Per.
Date: 2013.
In: Norsk Polarinstitutt. Rapportserie. (2013.), Vol. 145 (2013)
Abstract: Summarises general status of marine ecosystem around Svalbard and Jan Mayen and identifies impacts from climate change and harvesting. Notes that impacts caused by non-sustainable harvesting of wildlife and fisheries have been greatly reduced during last 40 years. Argues that reduced ice cover and increased temperatures have growing importance for changes in ecosystem and that it is expected that climate change will be most important human driver of ecosystem in coming decades.
