Abstract: Presents comprehensive geological summary of northern Prince Charles Mountains, Antarctica, including Lambert Glacier area, with particular reference to Mesoproterozoic history, protolith geochemistry and Sm-Nd isotopic composition, and proposes general geodynamic model. Presents new geochemical and Sm-Nd dates, as well as U-Pb zircon (SHRIMP-II) dates, for eastern Amery Ice Shelf and western Prydz Bay coast, with view to finding geological matches across rift. Considers geological features of Albany-Fraser Orogen in Western Australia which constrain formation and evolution of Rodinia Supercontinent, and compares with Proterozoic Circum-East Antarctic mobile belt (CEAMB)
