Abstract: Contrasts Ango-American literature which interprets Argentine role in 1982 Falklands War as invasion, with Argentine view of recovery of Islands without bloodshed after 149 years of persistent territorial claims, and triggering of warfare by British decision to sink Argentine cruiser "General Belgrano" outside theatre of operations. Discusses diplomatic misunderstandings, sovereignty, colonialism, and self-determination.
