Discusses need for recognition and regulation of non-extractive economic activities such as scientific research and tourism; preservation of Antarctica as zone of peace and international cooperation; strengthening administrative role of XII Región de Magallanes y Antártica Chilena as gateway to Antarctica; and evaluation of transport and supply links to farthest regions of Chile's territorial claim as supplemental to simple population statistics. |
