Abstract: | Describes analysis of meteorological records since 1982 from Central Yakutiya to establish trends in mean annual air temperature; also examination of data from ground thermal observations at Chabyda monitoring site near Yakutsk to determine ground temperature at base of active layer and at depth of zero annual amplitude, and depth of seasonal thaw. Draws conclusions about impact of climate warming on permafrost in this region. |
