Record #209093:

The projected 21st century forest-fire risk in Finland under different greenhouse gas scenarios / Ilari Lehtonen, and 3 others.

Title: The projected 21st century forest-fire risk in Finland under different greenhouse gas scenarios / Ilari Lehtonen, and 3 others.
Author(s): Lehtonen, Ilari.
Date: 2014.
In: Boreal Environment Research. (2014.), Vol. 19(2) (2014)
Abstract: Evaluates forest fire potential at four locations in Finland (including Sodankylä, northern Finland) in various projected future climate and greenhouse-gas-emission scenarios, using Canadian fire weather index (FWI) system. Predicts that forest fire potential will increase, in response to anthropogenic climate change. However, in near future, projected change is not very significant compared with large interannual variability.
