| Abstract: | Offers intercomparison of various properties of sea ice cover in existing ice-ocean reanalyses in order to highlight deficiencies and best practices in these systems. Discusses whether current ice-ocean reanalyses are suitable for initialising seasonal forecasts of ice cover, and presents preliminary results. |
