| Abstract: | Describes dating of three terminal moraines of Chisma glacier in eastern Chugach mountains, Alaska, using new lichenometric technique in which surfaces are dated by comparing lichen population distributions with predictions of ecological demography models, taking into account colonisation, growth, and survival. Uses Pseudophebe pubescens and Rhizocarpon subgenus to calculate surface age. |
