| Abstract: | Results of field investigations into mass balance of Waldemar and Irene glaciers, Spitsbergen, between 1996-2003 (Waldemar) and 2002-2003 (Irene). Measurements were taken each year at five day intervals between July and September with density profiles of snowpack measured annually during Spring. Results showed that factors affecting mass balance differed from year to year. |
