Title: Antarctic waters (Area V) near the Balleny Islands are a summer feeding area for some eastern Australian breeding stock E(i) humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) / Wally Franklin.
Author(s): Franklin, Wally.
Date: 2012.
In: Journal of Cetacean Research and Management. (2012.), Vol. 12(3) (2012)
Abstract: Reports on migratory movement of three humpback whales, Megaptera novaeangliae, between eastern Australia (E(i) breeding stock) and area V Antarctic feeding area near Balleny Islands. Uses photo-ID techniques, fluke catalogues, and analysis of sightings to support hypothesis that Antarctic Area V is summer feeding area for some eastern Australian humpback whales.
