Record #207221:

Mapping sea ice overflood using remote sensing: Alaskan Beaufort Sea / David Dickins, and 4 others.

Title: Mapping sea ice overflood using remote sensing: Alaskan Beaufort Sea / David Dickins, and 4 others.
Author(s): Dickins, David.
Date: 2011.
In: Cold Regions Science and Technology. (2011.), Vol. 65(3) (2011)
Abstract: Describes study commissioned by US Department of Interior, Minerals Management Service, Alaska Outer Continental Shelf Region to map maximum river overflood boundaries (peak seaward extent) on sea ice along Alaskan Beaufort Sea coastline from 1995-2007, using remote sensing and historical aerial surveys. Also describes hazards associated with related problem of strudel scouring and risks to prospective oil and gas pipeline routes.
