Record #205780:

On the relationship between Southern Ocean overturning and ACC transport / Adele K. Morrison, Andrew McC. Hogg.

Title: On the relationship between Southern Ocean overturning and ACC transport / Adele K. Morrison, Andrew McC. Hogg.
Author(s): Morrison, Adele K.
Hogg, Andrew McC.
Date: 2013.
In: Journal of Physical Oceanography. (2013.), Vol. 43(1) (2013)
Abstract: Investigates response of large-scale circulation in Southern Ocean to wind stress perturbations at eddy-permitting to eddy-resolving scales, using idealised numerical model. Examines question of whether Antarctic Circumpolar Current and meridional overturning circulation are dynamically linked in terms of eddy field offsetting impact of wind stress, or whether distinct dynamical mechanisms exist.
