| Abstract: | In zone of mixing of cold (Oyashio) and warm (Kuroshio) currents, analyses distributions of water masses, plankton, and fish to determine locations of grazing grounds for whales. Discusses distribution of whales in various years and seasons against this background. Outlines formulation of pods, their sizes, compositions, feeding habits and migrations, singling out those species that inhabit given areas permanently or temporarily. |
