Record #205267:
Thermokarst processes and depositional events in a tundra lake, northeastern Siberia / Boris K. Biskaborn, and 4 others.
Title: | Thermokarst processes and depositional events in a tundra lake, northeastern Siberia / Boris K. Biskaborn, and 4 others. |
Author(s): | Biskaborn, Boris K. |
Date: | 2013. |
In: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (2013.), Vol. 24(3) (2013) |
Abstract: | Discusses factors controlling patterns of deposition, using grain size distribution, organic content, elemental composition and mineralogical composition of 137 cm long sediment core from Lake El'gene'Kuele in tundra of north-eastern Siberia. Suggests relationship between repeated phases of fine sand input and retrogressive thaw slumping dependent on hydroclimate variability and ice-wedge networks within catchment area. |
Notes: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. Vol. 24(3) :160-174 (2013). |
