Abstract: | Assesses rates of gastrointestinal, respiratory and skin infections potentially affected by prolonged closures (after storm in 2004) of washeteria (laundry and sanitary) facilities in Kivalina, north-west Alaska. Finds that initial closures may have resulted in increased skin infection rates, but that gastrointestinal and respiratory disease rates remained unaffected. |
