Abstract: Uses three dimensional thermomechanically coupled ice sheet model, Parallel Ice Sheet Model (PISM), to simulate ice flow on synthetic valley-shaped basal topography, with aim of physically describing different types of oscillations appearing in model output, and identifying role of internal destabilising feedback mechanisms in maintaining oscillations.
