Record #204909:
A decade of change in the hydraulic connection between an Antarctic epishelf lake and the ocean / Ben K. Galton-Fenzi, and 3 others.
Title: | A decade of change in the hydraulic connection between an Antarctic epishelf lake and the ocean / Ben K. Galton-Fenzi, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Galton-Fenzi, Ben K. |
Date: | 2012. |
In: | Journal of Glaciology. (2012.), Vol. 58(208) (2012) |
Abstract: | Uses observations of tidal signal in Beaver Lake, an epishelf lake in East Antarctica, which reveal phase lag and amplitude attenuation compared to tides beneath adjacent Amery Ice Shelf, to propose narrow inlet connection between Beaver Lake and Amery Ice Shelf. Models tidal flow and examines change from 1991-2002. |
Notes: | Journal of Glaciology. Vol. 58(208) :223-228 (2012). |
