| Abstract: | Examines frequency of deliberate self-harm (DSH) or its ideation and loneliness among 16-year-olds in northern Finland to determine if associations exist between self-harm and loneliness, loneliness-related factors, self-rated health and satisfaction with life. Finds that loneliness is related to DSH and that loneliness should be considered as risk for individual health and well-being. |
