Краткосрочный пространственно-временной прогноз сухих лавин сублимационной перекристаллизации и смешанного типа

Title: Краткосрочный пространственно-временной прогноз сухих лавин сублимационной перекристаллизации и смешанного типа
Title, transliterated: Kratkosrochnyĭ prostranstvenno-vremennoĭ prognoz sukhikh lavin sublimat︠s︡ionnoĭ perekristallizat︠s︡ii i smeshannogo tipa / I︠U︡.B. Andreev.
Translated title: Short-term spatial and temporal forecast of dry snow avalanches of sublimation recrystallization and mixed origin.
Author(s): Andreev, I︠U︡. B.
Date: 2013.
Language: Russian.
In: Led i Sneg. (2013.), Vol. 4(121) (2013)
Abstract: Examines spatial-temporal short-term forecasting of dry sublimative recrystallization and mixed (recrystallization plus fresh snow) avalanches, based on special discriminate analog-macrophysical models of short-term background forecast. Verifies models by correlation with probabilistic zoning of avalanche site No.22 in Khibiny and discusses forecasting of avalanche release using current and predicted meteorological data. Transforming short-term forecast functions into long-term ones based on moving optimal 5-year intervals shows avalanche activity trend with probable 8-to-10-year and 32-year harmonics, but avalanche types examined here are less well predicted than purely dry or wet fresh snow types.
