Record #204297:

A greener Greenland? Climatic potential and long-term constraints on future expansions of trees and shrubs / Signe Normand, and 14 others.

Title: A greener Greenland? Climatic potential and long-term constraints on future expansions of trees and shrubs / Signe Normand, and 14 others.
Author(s): Normand, Signe.
Date: 2013.
Publisher: [London]: The Royal Society
Abstract: Reports use of potential tree-line and climate niche modelling to predict changes and shifts in areas climatically suitable for tree growth in Greenland. Finds that future climate warming is likely to allow growth of trees and shrubs across much of ice-free Greenland by year 2100, and provide potential for local expansion of sub-Arctic shrub ecosystems and boreal forest ecosystems in many parts of southern half of region.
