Record #204258:
Latitudinal distribution of soil CO₂ efflux and temperature along the Dalton Highway, Alaska / Yongwon Kim, and 5 others.
Title: | Latitudinal distribution of soil CO₂ efflux and temperature along the Dalton Highway, Alaska / Yongwon Kim, and 5 others. |
Author(s): | Kim, Yongwon. |
Date: | 2013. |
In: | Polar Science. (2013.), Vol. 7(2) (2013) |
Abstract: | Investigates spatial variations in soil CO₂ efflux and carbon dynamics across five sites located between 65.5°N and 69.0°N in tundra and boreal forest biomes of Alaska. Finds that soil CO₂ efflux is directly proportional to seasonal mean soil temperature, but inversely proportional to seasonal mean soil moisture level, rather than to elevation-corrected July air temperature. |
