Abstract: Describes procedures for optimising high-frequency radar (HFR) for monitoring offshore circulation in Arctic Ocean. Recommends expansion of HFR network in south-eastern Chukchi Sea. Attempts to optimise HFR locations with respect to accuracy of reconstruction of circulation in south-eastern Chukchi Sea, and explores scenario in which four HFRs are deployed.
