Angina pectoris in the cold: effects of cold environment and cold air inhalation at excercise tests / Claes Lassvik.

Title: Angina pectoris in the cold: effects of cold environment and cold air inhalation at excercise tests / Claes Lassvik.
Author(s): Lassvik, Claes.
Date: 1979.
Publisher: Linköping: Department of Clinical Physiology, Linköping University :
Abstract: Describes study aiming to: develop practical and reproducible exercise protocol for serial tests in standardised environments; study relationship between subjective and objective cold susceptibility in patients with external angina; study importance of skin cooling vs. cold air inhalation in deterioration of work performance; study relationship between different environmental temperatures and work performance; and identify possible non-invasive hemodynamic variables of importance for cold susceptibility.
Notes:

Doctoral dissertation with four papers as appendices: Lassvik, C., Reproducibility of work performance at serial exercises in patients with angina pectoris, Scan. J. clin. Lab. Invest. 38, 747-751, 1978; Lassvik, C. and Areskog, N-H., Angina pectoris in cold environment : reactions to exercise; Lassvik, C. and Areskog, N-H., Angina pectoris at cold air inhalation : reactions to exercise; Lassvik, C. and Areskog, N-H., Effects of various environmental temperatures on effort angina.
