Abstract: Investigates interactions between climate change and tourism in Canadian Arctic communities, focusing on capacity for adaption. Study is based on interviews from residents in Nain, Nunatsiavut. While many local residents responded positively to new designation of their community as "gateway to Torngat Mountains National Park", there was also dissatisfaction at lack of local employment opportunities. Some participants were optimistic about untrapped tourism potential, while others raised concerns.
