Abstract: | Halfway man (1989) and A dream like mine (1987) explore problems created by infringement on native land by white capitalist society. Set in northern Ontario, novels are based on historical fact and accurately reflect period of growing awareness and change in Canada's relationship with indigenous populations at time of rapid economic development. |
