Abstract: Discusses sampling plans relating to Arctic Program for Regional and International Shorebird Monitoring (PRISM), focusing on size of sample required to achieve PRISM accuracy target. Simulations based on data collected to date demonstrate that two plots per cluster (on rapid surveys), two intensive camps per field-crew year, 2-4 plots per intensive camp, and 2-3 rapid surveys per plot represent most efficient allocation of resources.
