Abstract: | Considers Greenlandic coastal residents' ways of engaging with environmental forces (e.g. winds, currents and sea ice) at time when climate-change "crisis narratives" feature Inuit populations as increasingly "exposed" victims on "front-line" of global warming. Identifies and discusses local experiences that reflect underlying socio-environmental relations. These relations are expressed through narratives that reflect interactions with familiar environment. |
