| Abstract: | Describes oceanographic projects undertaken in 2011-12. These include project MD 184/ERODER, to study erosion and dismantling of La Réunion's volcanic structure; MD 185/INDIEN SUD-1, to take samples in southern Indian Ocean to study past climatic and oceanographic changes; VT114/OISO-19, to study carbon cycle in southern Indian Ocean; VT 115/OHA-SIS-BIO-3, for acoustic surveillance of seismic and volcanic activity and large mammal movements in Indian Ocean; MD 186/CONEGAS to sample sediments in Pelotas Basin, Brazil; MD 187/PROERG leg 1 & 2, to examine Rio Grande rise in Atlantic; and VT 118/NIVMER-12 to observe variations in sea level near Crozet. |
