Contribution of rain, snow- and icemelt in the Upper Danube discharge today and in the future / Marcus Weber, and 3 others.
Title: | Contribution of rain, snow- and icemelt in the Upper Danube discharge today and in the future / Marcus Weber, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Weber, Marcus. |
Date: | 2010. |
In: | Geografia Fisica e Dinamica Quaternaria. (2010.), Vol. 33(2) (2010) |
Abstract: | Discusses physically-based modelling of runoff in mountainous basins, and characterises Upper Danube basin. Uses model to simulate runoff conditions over period 1991-2000, and over period 2011-2060 based on Remo climate warming scenario. Concludes that loss of glaciers will result in substantial reduction of runoff in head watersheds during summer, but no marked effect outside alpine arc. |
