Abstract: Analyses ice volume changes over period 1900-2008 for 20 glaciers of different geometries, sizes, and exposures. Derives seasonal mass balance time series from distributed accumulation and temperature-index melt model, calibrated by differentiating DEMs based on terrestrial surveys, Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission, and aerial photogrammetry, and validated with long-term discharge records. Reports volume decreases ranging from 30%-75%, with large valley glaciers tending to suffer more rapid loss than smaller and steeper ones. Drives combined model for 3-D glacier evolution and stream-flow runoff with regional climate change scenario to predict 63% decrease in glacier area by 2050, and annual increase in discharge for highly glacierized catchments. Increased evapotranspiration and reduced glacier melt cut annual runoff by 23% by 2100.
