| Abstract: | Presents study characterising geometry and inner structure of ice ridges off north-east coast of Sakhalin. Obtains formula for calculating ice ridge keel depth from height of sail and plots probability density distributions for ice ridge characteristics. Constructs model of morphometry of average statistical ice ridge and determines its mass. Constructs detailed scheme of ice ridge immediately above waterline and examines factors influencing hydrostatic ice ridge equilibrium. |
