| Abstract: | Examines results of field work in north-western (Nikel), central (low mountains of Khibiny range, Lovozerskiy tundras and adjacent plains), and north-eastern (Kachkovka river basin) parts of Kola Peninsula, analysing lithologic content, age, cryogenic textures, and isotopic composition of frozen ground and thermokarst relief. Presents permafrost datings and demonstrates that modern permafrost distribution of Kola Peninsula has been practically unchanged since middle of 20th century, despite significant climate warming. |
