Возраст последнего ледникового максимума на северо-востоке Азии
Title: | Возраст последнего ледникового максимума на северо-востоке Азии |
Title, transliterated: | Vozrast poslednego lednikovogo maksimuma na severo-vostoke Azii / A.A. Galanin. |
Translated title: | Age of the Last Glacial Maximum in the Asian north-east. |
Author(s): | Galanin, A. A. |
Date: | 2012. |
Language: | Russian. |
In: | Kriosfera Zemli. (2012.), Vol. 16(3) (2012) |
Abstract: | Analyses geomorphic and biostratigraphic data related to four key Late Glacial complexes in mountains of Cherskiy Range and Kolyma Upland. Presents geological-geomorphological profiles. Demonstrates that Last Glaciation had reached its maximum in second part of Karginsky Thermochron (MIS 3) and had formed in conditions of moderate humid and cool (sub-Arctic) climate. Last Glaciation had considerably reduced towards end of Karginsky Thermochron. During Sartan Cryochron (MIS 2), degradation of glaciation continued and periglacial area was widespread, accompanied by aeolian and permafrost processes. On Pleistocene-Holocene boundary, small cirque-type glaciation occurred due to marine transgression. Last Holocene glacial activity was related to Neoglacial Epoch and appeared with development of rock glacier formations. |
